This course is a 5-week class. This class meets 5-times a week (M-F).
This class will
meet for 2-hrs a day (8:00am-10:00am). The following is a
guideline for the
class meetings. The class will meet each day in the GED room.
Lesson 1:
Course Overview (Mon. Nov. 6th)
This will be a one day (2hr) lesson which will go over a brief overview
of the
class and the expectations
of the instructor and the course. There will be a brief
history of the GED
and pertinent information regarding state testing structure, days,
times, and administration.
Lesson 2:
Writing Overview (Tues. Nov. 7th-Fri. Nov. 10th)
This will be an overview with instructions on writing a basic essay; structure,
grammar, spelling,
and techniques. This will include basic writing skills in general.
Lesson 3:
Mathematics Overview (Mon. Nov. 13th-Fri. Nov.
17th)
This will be an overview of each of the areas associated with the Mathematics
section which pertains
to the state test topics.
**OFF Thanksgiving Week**
Lesson 4:
Science Overview (Mon. Nov. 27th-Fri. Dec. 1st)
This will be an overview of each of the areas associated with the Science
section which pertains
to the state test topics.
Lesson 5:
Social Studies Overview (Mon. Dec. 4th-Fri.
Dec 8th)
This will be an overview of each of the areas associated with the Science
section which pertains
to the state test topics.
Lesson 6:
Literature Arts Overview (Mon. Nov. 11th-Fri.
Nov. 19th)
This
will be an overview of each of the areas associated with the Literature
Arts
section which includes
vocabulary building and basic literature introduction.
